Unforgettable Japanese Cultural Experience !!
“SHODO” (Japanese Calligraphy)
Hana SHODO class offers a 2-hour special lesson that will make your stay in Japan even richer and a little more “Japanesy.”
Class : 2-hour class with max 6 persons.
You can experience all of the following.
- Learn about the basics of SHODO including its history, tools and Japanese characters.
- Learn how to use the tools and how to write basic strokes.
- Practice writing your name or a word you like in Kanji (Chinese character). We will translate the word into Japanese for you.
- Enjoy Japanese sweets and green tea.
- Receive a seal stamp of you name as a gift. You can stamp it on your finished work right away.

Monut your work on “Kari-maki” (Hanging scroll) to create a beautiful finished piece of art !
Fee : JPY 5,000 per person
Fee includes all of the following.
- SHODO lesson
- All necessary tools
- Japanese sweets and green tea
- Seal stamp of your name as a gift

- Has been mentored by Yusui Sugiyama at Wasuijuku since 2011.
